Questions, answered
The things people ask before they put a hundred badges on lanyards.
Do people need to install an app?
No. The game runs in the phone's own browser. If you want an icon on the home screen you can add one, but nobody has to.
Do players need an account or an email address?
Players sign in with an email and password, or use an individual private player key from their organizer. A shared event link alone does not sign anyone in.
What happens if I scan the same badge twice?
You get one question per badge. Scan it again and the game tells you it is used up, so go find someone new.
What if the timer runs out?
That question is over and scores nothing. The badge is used up either way, so there is no reason to stall.
Can I play from a laptop?
Your score and the leaderboard work fine on a laptop. Scanning needs a camera, so the badges themselves are a phone job.
Does it need internet?
Yes. Phones need a connection to fetch a question and post your answer, so make sure the venue's wifi or the guests' data will hold.
What if someone loses their phone mid-event?
Sign in to the same event with the same account or private player key on another phone to recover your points.
Can we change the questions and the timer?
Yes. The organizer writes the questions, chooses what each is worth, and sets the seconds on the clock.
How many people can play at once?
Everyone with a badge can play at the same time. The board ranks them as answers come in.
Ready when you are
Sign in to your event with an account or private player key, then scan a badge.
